In this section we provide frequently news on development and progress ...
Details about the SLS are found   here (click...)

21.07.2016:
Another Firmware-Update V1.497 for cSLS/cSLSi and SLS/SLSi is ready for download.
Before switching OFF at overvolt situation, a foldback of current will take place now.

The SLS-Windows-Monitor also got an Update V1.491. Some minor things were fixed here.

19.07.2016:
Once more Solarboats running with our SLS occupied nearly all top rankings at DSC - Dutch Solar Challenge and Solar 1 Monte Carlo Cup ...

We want to congratulate to all successful teams!

At both events the winner in the Top-class was
CLAFIS Victron Privat Energy Solarboat Team (Gerard van der Schaar)

... just ahead of
TU Delft Solat Boat Team (Thore Roepman)

... on 4th place in DSCīs Top-class was
ROC Friese Poort Sneek (Raymond Blokker)

The winner of A-class at DSC was
Dutch solar Boat Team (Jules van Haaren)

28.04.2016:
A new Firmware-Update V1.496 for cSLS/cSLSi and SLS/SLSi is ready for download.
The starting behaviour for heated SLS-hardware had to be improved (compensation of a temperature drift within the current measurement section). Also the resolution of derating/foldback in case of undervoltage or overtemperature was increased. Now it works much more sensitive and smoother.

27.04.2016:
To get better contact protection (IP40) for the high current screw terminal, we designed housings. First samples have been made by 3D-printing.

These plastic parts are equal for DC- and AC-side of the controller and consist of a upper and a lower part. The lower part is partial potted, while the electronic is potted and seals the screw area. The upper part is fixed by 2 screws with the Alu-pot (through the lower part). Another 2 screws joins upper an lower part.
Each screw area is separated to its neighbour screw area and can handle up to 50mmē cable+eye. Itīs planed to have all control-signals combined in only one round cable, lead out on the DC-side. Both green connectors will be discontinued then.

In cases the main contacts doesnīt need to be disconnected again, the cavities can be potted and IP64 protection can be established.

We will offer this IP-option together with the new SLRi-controller-family (SOP planed for 1Q/2017). Pictures shown above are based on a SLSi - this is just for illustration. Already existent SLSi/SLRi can not be equipped later because of partial potting of the lower part.
