 SinusLeistungsSteller - Monster-Truck

Markus Landeck´s Monster-Truck

The first electric RC-car, which was equipped with the SLS, was Markus´ monster-truck. A few impressions about this tests give the following pictures and videos ...

Here is the truck with an quite early version of the SLS (visible on the not anodized casing ...)

Of course, the truck had to "serve" as a test vehicle for the latest hardware and software!

Equipped with torque control and a proportional brake you can (besides work) have a lot of fun - pay attention to the "Ssssssh..." at the end of the last video ;-)

Although, it is not 4-wheel driven, this vehicle can overcome very steep slopes at the lowest speed without wheelspin. Braking, stopping and starting at slope is no problem with the torque control. On the road (on a smooth pressboard), climbs were possible of slightly more than 45° slope ...

... with cleaned tires the truck was able to drive up a 55° slope, indoors! To prevent the truck from rolling over backwards, we had to put 2,5kg additional weight (in form of a medium-sized toroidal transformer) on the front axle. So 17,5kg are moving upwards! By the additional weight on the front axle, a new problem occured: it was difficult to get the front wheels on the ramp (the vehicle hit the ramp).
Here - on demand - the uncut video:

It remains to mention that all of the videos shown here of the RC truck were taken with the identical configuration. That means it was always the same motor with the same gear and the same SLS in action!
